Job summary

Bureau Veritas in Indonesia seeks an experienced subsea structural engineer with a Bachelor in mechanical/structure/subsea/material engineering and 10+ years in offshore O&G, including 5+ years in subsea structures and deepwater projects.

You will follow detailed design, fabrication, and erection activities, coordinate interfaces, and support offshore installation and commissioning activities across brownfield projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical/structure/subsea/material engineering.
• 10+ years offshore O&G experience with 5+ years in subsea structural engineering; deepwater project exposure.
• Follow-up of detailed structural design, fabrication and erection specs for subsea assets.
• Fabrication, testing, load-out and installation of subsea structures.
• Assist Package Manager and Engineering Coordinator on engineering interfaces and issue resolution.
• Experience with FPU/FPU/FLNG and brownfield projects.
• Subsea structures experience aligned with project schedule and specs.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up project detail engineering and technical interfaces related to subsea structures.
• Resolve technical and delivery issues for subsea structures across contractors.
• Monitor and report engineering progress at fabrication yard to Package Manager.
• Witness manufacturing and acceptance tests and support offshore installation.

Job description

• a) Bachelor degree in mechanical/structure/subsea/material engineering from University.
• b) Min 10 years of offshore Oil & Gas Industry experience, 5 years of subsea structural engineering, including involvement in Deepwater projects in execution.
• c) Experience in Follow-up of detailed structural design, fabrication and erection specifications and plans of subsea assets by Contractor and Sub-Contractors.
• d) Experience in Follow-up of fabrication, testing, load-out, installation of the subsea structures for the Project, i.e.: Production Manifold,
  SSIV Station,
  corresponding connection systems (resp. horizontal driverless connectors and flanged connections)
  Mid Water Arch,
  Subsea Distribution Units,
  foundations of above structures (gravity base / suction pile / mud mat types)
• e) Experience in Assist the Package Manager and the Engineering Coordinator in the following: Follow-up the project detail engineering, technical queries and technical interfaces related to structural design and fabrication of subsea structures,
  Resolving technical and delivery issues concerning all aspects of subsea structures,
  Monitoring and reporting engineering, criticalities and physical progress at fabrication yard to the relevant Package Manager,
  Witnessing of manufacturing and intermediary / final acceptance tests, follow-up of physical progress and troubleshooting,
  Support to offshore installation, commissioning and production start-up.
• f) Having experience working in FPU/FPU/FLNG and brownfield project
• g) Experience with subsea structures within the Project schedule and in compliance with Project specifications and Project objectives
