PT Hormel Pronas Nusantara (HPN) seeks an experienced FSQ Manager to steer food safety and quality across the new Batang facility in Central Java. You will drive GMP, HACCP, ISO22000, Halal compliance and continuous improvement, reporting to the FSQ leadership.
The role covers QA/QC supervision, audits, cross-functional collaboration with Production and Engineering, supplier quality management, and training of staff.

HPN is developing a modern food manufacturing facility in Indonesia focused on producing high-quality processed meat and ready-to-eat products for domestic and international markets.

Lead overall Food Safety & Quality strategy and implementation within factory operations.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, Halal, BPOM, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
Ensure product quality consistency across all production lines.
Conducts oversight and provides direction for writing and maintaining the Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) for the facility. In addition, the FSQ Manager is responsible for designing and assisting in the internal verification audits on all SOP activities throughout the year.
Supervise QA and QC teams including laboratory activities and inspection processes.
Implements and maintains incoming materials, in-process control, and finished goods quality standards.
Lead product investigation, root cause analysis, CAPA, and non-conformance management.
Ensure proper calibration and verification of laboratory and inspection equipment.
Lead internal and external audits including customer, BPOM, halal, and certification audits.
Ensure factory readiness for compliance inspections and certifications.
Maintain proper documentation and document control systems.
Partner with Production and Engineering teams to improve process capability and reduce quality issues.
Support R&D during product trials, validation, and commercialization.
Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers regarding raw material quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, food safety sanitation, and operational excellence.
Implements and directs the education and training of all food safety programs for the facility.
Implement preventive actions and risk mitigation programs.
Develop quality KPI monitoring and reporting systems.
Build and develop strong FSQ organization capability.
Coach, train and develop FSQ team members.
Promotes strong food safety culture across the organization
Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years experience in Food Safety & Quality within FMCG or Food Manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge in HACCP, GMP, SSOP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, Halal System, and BPOM regulations.
Experience handling audits and food safety certification processes.
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in processed meat, canned food, ready-to-eat products, or protein manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Willing to be placed in Batang, Central Java
