Job summary

WPP Production is seeking an experienced Freelance CopyEditor (Bahasa Indonesia) to validate and polish marketing content for our technology client in Indonesia. You will edit, proofread, and production-edit across digital, print, and in-store materials, ensuring a flawless tone of voice and linguistic accuracy.

You will work with in-market and global teams, manage multiple projects, and contribute to style guides and glossaries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of copyediting/subediting experience for Indonesian marketing and technical materials.
• Experience editing/ proofreading marketing materials for brands.
• Nuanced understanding of language conventions, style, and usage.
• Familiarity with US English style and usage.
• Experience with global brands and translation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-country validation of customer-facing marketing content across digital, print, and in-store channels, ensuring brand tone consistency.
• Edit and proofread editorial, marketing, and social media copy.
• Collaborate with in-country teams on high-volume projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Develop and maintain a consistent tone of voice, and cultural relevance for Indonesia.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery.
• Leverage glossaries and style guides to ensure alignment with brand tone of voice and translations.
• Ensure linguistic and technical accuracy across content.
• Provide ongoing linguistic guidance to translation vendors and project managers.
• Contribute ideas to project management for process improvements.
• Keep product and brand knowledge up to date.
