Job summary

The Fixed Assets & Capex Coordinator at British School Jakarta supports the Finance function by maintaining asset records, coordinating Capex projects, and acting as the super user for the school's financial system.

This role ensures assets are tracked, budgets monitored, and reporting accurate, while providing user support and process improvements across procurement, depreciation, and asset disposal.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting, with direct exposure to fixed asset management and/or capital expenditure tracking.
• Working knowledge of Indonesian and international accounting principles (PSAK/IFRS) relating to asset capitalisation, depreciation and disposal.
• Experience supporting or administering a financial system/ERP as a super user or key user, including user support, troubleshooting, configuration and testing.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, formulas and reconciliation techniques for asset and capex tracking.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain complete and auditable records across multiple concurrent projects.
• Good organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to monitor budgets, identify variances and produce clear tracking reports.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with budget holders, vendors, project teams and IT/system providers.
• High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
• Prior experience or certification relating to the specific financial system/ERP used by the School.
• Experience working in the education sector, particularly within an international school environment.
• Exposure to procurement, vendor due diligence or contract administration processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate fixed asset records and reconcile assets across multiple projects.
• Coordinate capital expenditure (Capex) processes, monitor budgets and timelines against approvals.
• Serve as the finance systems super user to maximise data integrity, reporting and user support.
• Provide system troubleshooting, configuration and testing for the financial ERP.
• Prepare clear tracking reports, monitor variances and support procurement activity.
