Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a First Line Manager for the Panjang Factory, Lampung, Indonesia to lead frontline manufacturing operations, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will develop people, manage performance, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, SHE, HR, and Supply Chain to achieve production targets.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, 3+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG or food & beverage industries.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a production environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement capability.
• Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, NCE, HACCP, QMS, and manufacturing KPIs is highly desirable.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Leading safety, health, environmental, and food safety compliance across production operations.
• Ensuring achievement of production targets through effective operational planning and execution.
• Driving line efficiency, productivity improvement, and asset optimization initiatives.
• Managing workforce performance, capability building, employee engagement, and coaching activities.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), TPM, Lean, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, SHE, HR, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.
