Job summary

Nestlé Karawang Factory is seeking an Operations Shift Manager to drive line objectives by empowering teams, ensuring on-time production and compliance with safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental standards.

You will lead a safety-focused culture, manage production plans, and engage with stakeholders to deliver sustainable results across the shift. The role requires a degreed background in Food Tech/Engineering and 3-5 years in food manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or Technical/Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a functional role in the food industry with experience in managing and engaging/motivating people.
• Ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance.
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment through housekeeping and safety practices.
• Ability to ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment; ability to set challenging objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure a Safe Working Environment; enforce hygiene and safety procedures.
• Ensure Semi Finish and Finished Goods are produced according to quality standards and instructions.
• Maintain clean and functional working areas and NGMP installations.
• Manage Production through operational reviews and standard routines for sustainable results.
• Organize and delegate tasks to the team; evaluate work performance.
• Maintain dialogue with line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, and line stakeholders.

• Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures
• Ensure that Semi Finish Good and Finished Goods are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance).
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines to ensure sustainable results.
• Organizing & delegating assignments to the team members, assessing and evaluating the work performance of the teams
• Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representations on the line).

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor (S-1) Majoring Food Technology or Technical/Engineering
• 3-5 year experience in a functional role in Food industry - Having Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people
