Job summary

Nestlé Indonesia is seeking an Operations Shift Manager at the Karawang Factory to lead production lines, empower teams, and ensure on‑time output while meeting safety, quality, cost, and environmental requirements. You will drive manufacturing excellence by engaging colleagues, maintaining NGMP standards, and coordinating with maintenance, unions, and line stakeholders.

The role calls for a Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or Technical/Engineering with 3–5 years in a food-industry function

Responsibilities

• Lead the Safety Culture and ensure a Safe Working Environment.
• Ensure semi-finish and finished goods meet quality standards and instructions (compliance).
• Maintain clean and well‑kept working areas and NGMP installations.
• Manage Production via operational reviews and standard routines for sustainable results.
• Organize and delegate tasks, evaluate team performance.
• Maintain constant dialogue with line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, and line stakeholders.

Be a force for good with Nestlé Indonesia by playing the role as Operations Shift Manager, you will be responsible to deliver the line objectives by empowering and engage people to develop their capability and ensure line (shift) production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs (strive towards Manufacturing Excellence).

• Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures
• Ensure that Semi Finish Good and Finished Goods are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance).
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines to ensure sustainable results.
• Organizing & delegating assignments to the team members, assessing and evaluating the work performance of the teams
• Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line).

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor (S-1) Majoring Food Technology or Technical/Engineering
• 3-5 year experience in a functional role in Food industry - Having Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people
• Ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance,
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.
• Ability to ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment Ability to set effective and challenging objectives
