Job summary

Nestlé Panjang Factory in Lampung, Indonesia seeks a First Line Manager to lead frontline manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and high quality Nestlé products. You will optimize line performance, develop people, and foster continuous improvement through NCE, TPM and Lean practices.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, a related degree, strong communication, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in FMCG or food & beverage.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a production environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement capability.
• Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, NCE, HACCP, QMS and manufacturing KPIs.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

A Day in the Life of a First Line Manager

As a First Line Manager, you will lead frontline manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of Nestlé products. You will be responsible for optimizing line performance, managing resources effectively, developing people capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading safety, health, environmental, and food safety compliance across production operations.

• Ensuring achievement of production targets through effective operational planning and execution.

• Driving line efficiency, productivity improvement, and asset optimization initiatives.

• Managing workforce performance, capability building, employee engagement, and coaching activities.

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), TPM, Lean, and problem-solving methodologies.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, SHE, HR, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG or food & beverage industries.

• Experience leading and developing teams in a production environment.
