Job summary

Waruna Shipping Group in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Finance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day finance activities, ensure accuracy of financial processes, and support management decisions.

You will supervise payroll and benefits verification, prepare management reports, perform data analysis, coordinate with HR and other departments, and mentor a finance team to maintain high standards of compliance and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 8+ years in finance with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with payroll and employee benefits checking.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee day-to-day finance activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial processes.
• Review and verify employee payroll, benefits, and other employee-related finance calculations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial and management reports to support business decision-making.
• Perform financial data analysis and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.
• Monitor financial transactions, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with HR/People, Payroll, and other relevant departments on payroll, benefits, and finance-related matters.
• Support the preparation of periodic financial reports and ad-hoc financial analysis required by management.
• Supervise and provide guidance to team members to ensure effective execution of finance activities.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Strong experience in financial reporting, financial data analysis, and data processing
• Hands-on experience in payroll and employee benefits checking and reconciliation
• Advanced/Must-have Microsoft Excel skills, with strong ability to process, analyze, and interpret large sets of financial data
• Experience using Accurate accounting software is preferred
• Experience working in a complex industry or business environment is preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
