Job summary

Nongbu Market is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Badung, Bali. This full-time role oversees financial accounting, reporting, and strategic financial management to support growth and operational efficiency.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and the consolidation of financial data across multiple outlets and brands, while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong internal controls. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Finance Manager or Assistant Finance Manager.
• Experience in multi-outlet financial management for multiple brands or units is highly preferred.
• Solid experience with pre-opening teams and setting up financial structures, POS integrations, and accounting systems for new restaurant setups.
• Advanced budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control across outlets and consolidated levels.
• Proficiency with ESB, Jurnal, Xero, Accurate and POS data consolidation.
• Fluency in English is essential; Indonesian language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded, classified and reconciled.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends and improvement opportunities for senior management.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against projections.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including payments and collections.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
• Lead and mentor the finance team and maintain strong internal controls.

About the role

Nongbu Market is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing team in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in managing our financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the organisation. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, providing essential financial insights to support business decision-making and growth initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial health and operational efficiency of Nongbu Market.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, classified and reconciled

Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting systems and processes to support internal and external stakeholder requirements

Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries

Analyse financial data to identify variances, trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to senior management

Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual performance against projections and reporting on financial performance

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and relevant legislation, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, overseeing payment processing and debt collection activities

Liaise with external auditors and prepare documentation required for audit processes

Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial irregularities

What we're looking for

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Finance Manager or Assistant Finance Manager, preferably within the F&B, hospitality, or retail industry.

Proven experience in multi-outlet financial management; experience handling a portfolio of multiple brands or business units simultaneously is highly preferred.

Solid experience as part of a pre-opening team and direct involvement in setting up financial structures, point-of-sales (POS) integrations, and accounting systems for new restaurant setups.

Exceptional proficiency in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control (COGS analysis) across individual outlets and consolidated levels.

Advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., ESB, Jurnal, Xero, Accurate) and POS financial data consolidation.

Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to work closely with Restaurant managers and stakeholders to optimize profitability.

Knowledge of audit procedures and experience working with external auditors

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Experience in retail, food services or market operations is highly desirable

Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Indonesian would be advantageous
