Job summary

FMC Corporation seeks a seasoned Finance Director for South Asia & South East Asia to lead regional finance teams, partner with leadership, and drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across multiple markets.

The role entails steering controllership, tax, and audits while collaborating with global finance and governance teams to support strategic initiatives for growth and efficiency in a dynamic, matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/business.
• MBA or Chartered Accountant/CICPA.
• Minimum of 15 years diversified experience in various levels of finance management covering both controllership and FP&A.
• People leader experience required.
• Strong financial acumen and analytics skills. Being able to provide in-depth explanation of results, synthesize data to identify key business drivers and assess the quality of inputs, generate insightful outputs.
• Experience with all aspects of financial reporting cycle including development of annual business plan / budget, financial projections / recurring forecasts and operations cost management required.
• Standard costing experience (preferred).
• ERP System experience required.
• Ability to build effective business relationships, interact and communicate effectively with executives and management.
• Strong analytical skills with aptitude to ask challenging questions and reach the underlying issues.
• Ability to influence outcomes and set overall performance expectations.
• Strong written and oral presentations skills with fluency in English.
• Ability to take ownership to act and to drive progress and deliver on commitments in an ethical way.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strategic mindset and organizational awareness.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and adapt to change as needed.
• Proficient in the Microsoft office suite to include Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Lead both ASEAN and Pakistan Finance teams.
• Foster a strong business partner relationship with S&SEA Sub-region Leader, S&SEA Asia Leadership Team members including Commercial Directors, Regional & Global Finance teams, and external government bodies.
• Lead the team to develop S&SEA Budget
• Supervise the team to provide monthly/quarterly forecasting reports for S&SEA ensuring clear paths to achieve stated $$ targets.
• Monitor and report financial performance, understand and explain root causes cause of variances -vs- budget, forecast, and prior year. Work proactively to institutionalize improvements and remedy unfavorable performance.
• Provide insight into strategic decisions to drive cost efficiencies and optimize resource allocation.
• Supervise the monthly close process.
• Lead the statutory preparation of accounts and indirect/direct tax incl. any requests for funding from Global Tax/Treasury.
• Support SOX, internal audit, and Tax audit as needed.
