Job summary

Lalamove is seeking a Finance Operations professional to oversee daily finance operations, budgeting, and statutory compliance in Indonesia. The role focuses on optimizing payments, analyzing variances, and ensuring accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance with 4+ years in finance operations, including team leadership. Strong Indonesian tax knowledge, Excel, PowerPoint, and English communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of finance operations experience, ideally in logistics/e-commerce fulfillment.
• 1–2 years of experience leading a team is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian taxation (E-Faktur, E-Billing, SPT Unification, E-Filing, E-SPT, Article 21, 22, 23, 26, 4(2), CIT, VAT).
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Google Workspace.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Finance Manager to oversee daily finance operations, optimizing payments and collections.
• Support budgeting with country director and FP&A, track spending against approved budgets.
• Handle month-end closing, prepare monthly analyses, and manage country P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Support statutory compliance tasks including audits and tax filings.
• Collaborate with HQ and other departments to align financial requirements.
• Support tax planning and risk mitigation activities.
• Develop junior team members and drive process improvements.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by Finance Manager.

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS WILL BE CARRIED OUT IN ENGLISH AND ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE NOTIFIED

• Finance Operations: Assist the Finance Manager to oversee daily finance operations by optimizing driver, client and vendor payments and collections; identifying operational gaps for potential process improvements.
• Budgeting: Assist the Finance Manager and the country director on the budgeting process, including budget preparation, deviation analysis, liaison with group FP&A team, maintaining budget controls, and spending tracking in accordance with the approved budget.
• Financial Accounting: Responsible for month-end closing activities and preparation of monthly analysis, including country profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Preparation of monthly management report for review. Maintenance of day-to-day accounting activities in compliance with PSAK.
• Statutory Compliance: Assist the Finance Manager in relation to all statutory compliance tasks including statutory audit, regular tax filings, and other regular reporting to government authorities.
• Tax Management: Work closely with the Finance Manager and group tax team on all tax matters, including:
  • Tax compliance (review different tax filings and payments, including withholding tax such as Article 21, 22, 23, 26 and 4(2), CIT and VAT).
  • Transfer pricing with HQ.
  • Tax audit and disputes handling.
  • Tax provision (Manage monthly tax provision).
  • Tax planning (identify and mitigate tax risks by providing recommendations to improve the tax processes and SOPs).
• Team Development: Manage junior team members and equip the team with necessary financial knowledge and tools to achieve various goals.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
• Integrity and leadership: Make the right decisions for the business, lead and motivate the team by example.
• Strategic thinker: Strong business acumen & ability to plan ahead as a strategic finance business partner for all functions to achieve the business’ ambitious growth targets.
• Strong communicator: Ability to effectively liaise with HQ, Management and functional departments to align business requirements.
• Detail-oriented: Meticulous on financial records and regulatory filings.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance with at least 4 years of finance operations experience, preferably in a logistics/e-commerce fulfillment environment.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading team (experienced from the same industry or from Public Accounting Firm will be preferred).
• Good understanding of the Indonesian taxation system (including but not limited to, E-Faktur, E-Billing, SPT Unification, E-Filing, E-SPT, Withholding Article 21, 22, 23, 26 and 4(2), CIT and VAT).
• Experienced in Excel, PowerPoint and Google Workspace.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Good analytical thinking and business acumen.
• Nice to have but not a must: Brevet A and B certifications.
