Job summary

Gea Group in Medan seeks a motivated Service Engineer to provide technical service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning support for Separators, Decanters, and Homogenizers across customer sites. Strong mechanical and automation/control systems expertise is essential to maximize equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years of field service experience in industrial equipment, with willingness to travel extensively in Sumatra.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation or related technical disciplines.
3–5 years of field service experience in industrial equipment.
Experience with rotating equipment, bearings, seals, lubrication, motors and drives.
Willingness to travel across Sumatra and other regions as required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on Separators, Decanters, and Homogenizers.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and emergency breakdown support.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, and performance optimization.
Provide technical consultation and training to customers’ maintenance and operations teams.
Plan field service activities safely and document results.
