Job summary

PT Indojaya Mitra Sarana is seeking a Service Engineer to install, calibrate, test and maintain instrumentation and analytical systems at customer sites across Indonesia. You will read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot 4–20 mA signals, and support control panels and PLCs with field technicians.

Based in Pekanbaru with opportunities to travel within Riau and beyond, you will join a team focused on reliability and data-driven maintenance in process analytics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in service, maintenance, or commissioning of instrumentation and/or industrial automation systems.
• Understanding of industrial instrumentation, 4–20 mA signals, digital inputs/outputs, and basic control systems.
• Ability to use multimeters, instrument calibrators, and other relevant testing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation and automation systems at customer sites
• Inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot industrial instruments, including gas & liquid analyzer, CEMS and others online analyzers
• Troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, control panels, and communication between devices
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment manuals
• Identify the causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions and preventive maintenance
• Prepare service reports documenting findings, corrective actions, and follow-up recommendations
• Provide technical guidance and basic operation training to customers
• Coordinate with internal teams, manufacturers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Travel to customer sites within Riau and other regions as required

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in service, maintenance, or commissioning of instrumentation and/or industrial automation systems
• Understanding of industrial instrumentation, 4–20 mA signals, digital inputs/outputs, and basic control systems
• Ability to use multimeters, instrument calibrators, and other relevant testing equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot problems systematically
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals in English
• Detail-oriented, responsible, eager to learn, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a professional approach when working with customers
• Willing to be based in Pekanbaru and travel for field assignments

Preferred: Experience with process analyzers, Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), or liquid and gas analysis instruments
