Role Description

The Field Collector role at Bank Mega Syariah is a contract position based in Makassar with a hybrid work arrangement, combining field activities with some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting customers to follow up on overdue accounts, explaining payment obligations, negotiating and arranging repayment plans, and ensuring documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with internal policies and sharia principles. The role involves regular reporting on collection activities, updating customer records in the system, and coordinating with branch and back-office teams to resolve outstanding issues. The Field Collector is expected to maintain professional, ethical conduct in all interactions, safeguard customer data, and contribute to overall portfolio quality and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building to interact effectively with customers in the field.
• Ability to manage time, plan routes, and prioritize tasks for efficient collections activities in a hybrid work environment.
• Basic knowledge of banking or financial services, ideally with familiarity with Islamic (sharia) banking principles.
• Comfort with using mobile and digital tools (e.g., smartphones, basic office software) for reporting, data entry, and customer follow-up.
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality and compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Minimum of a high school diploma; a vocational or undergraduate degree in finance, business, or a related field is an advantage.
• Willingness and physical ability to conduct field visits across Makassar and surrounding areas; possession of a valid driver’s license and personal transportation is preferred.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with branch and collections teams.
