PT CIMB Niaga Auto Finance is seeking an External Funding Officer based in Tangerang, Banten. The role focuses on securing and managing external funding sources to support automotive financing operations, building partnerships with banks, investment firms and government-backed institutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in related funding roles, strong financial modelling, risk assessment and negotiation skills, and fluency in Indonesian and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking, treasury or external funding roles.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian banking systems, financial markets and funding mechanisms.
• Experience securing and managing external funding facilities from financial institutions.
• Excellent financial analysis, credit risk assessment and covenant management skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficient in financial modelling using Excel or similar tools.
• Knowledge of automotive finance or asset-based lending is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and pursue external funding opportunities from banks, financial institutions and capital markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external funding partners including banks, investment firms and government-backed institutions.
• Prepare funding proposals, financial models and documentation for partners.
• Negotiate funding terms and agreements to secure favorable rates and conditions.
• Monitor existing facilities and ensure covenant compliance and reporting.
• Track market conditions and funding trends for optimal fundraising timing.
• Coordinate with Finance, Risk and Legal to align funding with policy and regulation.
• Produce regular reports on funding performance and utilization.
• Contribute to funding strategy and long-term capital planning.

About the role

We are seeking an External Funding Officer to join our team on a fulltime basis, based in Tangerang, Banten. This role is essential to our operations, focusing on securing and managing external funding sources to support our automotive financing operations. As External Funding Officer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with external financial institutions, managing funding arrangements, and ensuring the company's access to capital markets and alternative funding channels. This position requires a strategic mindset and strong financial acumen to support our growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and pursue external funding opportunities from banks, financial institutions, and capital markets to support the company's financing operations


• Develop and maintain relationships with external funding partners, including commercial banks, investment firms and government-backed financial institutions


• Prepare and present funding proposals, financial models and documentation to potential funding partners


• Negotiate funding terms, conditions and agreements to secure the most favourable rates and conditions for the company


• Monitor and manage existing funding facilities, ensuring compliance with covenants and reporting requirements


• Track market conditions, interest rates and funding trends to identify optimal timing and opportunities for fundraising activities


• Coordinate with internal departments including Finance, Risk Management and Legal to ensure funding arrangements align with company policies and regulatory requirements


• Prepare regular reports and analysis on funding performance, utilisation rates and market opportunities


• Support the development of funding strategies and long-term capital plans

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Administration or a related field


• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking, treasury operations or external funding roles


• Strong knowledge of Indonesian banking systems, financial markets and funding mechanisms


• Proven experience in securing and managing external funding facilities from financial institutions


• Excellent understanding of financial analysis, credit risk assessment and covenant management


• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain key relationships with financial institutions


• Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Excel and other financial tools


• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive finance or similar asset-based lending models is advantageous


• Strong communication and presentation skills in both Indonesian and English


• Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and project management capabilities


• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in Indonesian banking and finance
