Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an Events Coordinator to deliver unforgettable event experiences for guests and clients. You will support the Event Manager and Sales Team, conduct site inspections, and ensure guest requirements are met with precision and hospitality.

You'll work with operations and banquet teams to manage function orders, deposits, and client communications, building lasting relationships and identifying new business opportunities for the hotel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or similar.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an events department.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High energy, ability to work under pressure and with a great eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Supports with Event Manager and Sales Team.
• Conducts site inspections and coordinates with the organiser as required, with or without the Sales person.
• Works closely with Sales and Operational Teams to ensure all guest requirements are met.
• Assists in ensuring all Event Orders are distributed to concerned departments in a timely manner.
• Assists in ensuring deposits/payments from Clients are received at the stipulated dates.
• Coordinates with the operations team to manage group arrivals, departures, reviews and cross-sell.
• Ensures events are managed well by the Banquet team and meet expectations.
• Reviews all Event Function Orders to ensure pre-arrangements are in place.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with established clientele and explores new business opportunities.
• Ensures exposure for Hotel through direct sales via telephone, contracts and written communications.
