Job summary

JW Marriott in Jakarta seeks an entry level management professional to lead the banquet staff and assist in executing events to meet requirements and standards. You will develop and direct a team to deliver high-quality service, train staff, manage financial and administrative duties, and uphold SOPs while maximizing guest satisfaction during events.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
2 years experience in event management or related area.
Experience in food and beverage preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage departmental inventories and assets including par levels and equipment maintenance.
Conduct monthly department meetings with Banquet captains and employees.
Maintain attendance log for banquet staff and enforce sanitation standards.
Adhere to SOPs, LSOPs, and all policies and procedures.
Schedule banquet service staff to forecast demand and maximize profits.
Lead shifts and actively participate in servicing events.
Interact with guests to obtain feedback and ensure guest satisfaction.
Interview and hire banquet captains and staff; train new hires.
Communicate and execute departmental safety procedures.
