Job summary

PT. Asuransi Sinar Mas is seeking an MEP Estimator to calculate volumes and material requirements from drawings and BOQ. You will prepare budgets (RAB), BOQ, and unit price analyses, and perform detailed cost estimations for tenders or projects.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of MEP estimation experience, strong MEP drawing interpretation skills, and proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD. The role requires meticulous, deadline-driven work in a team and individual setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1/D3 education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Strong ability to read MEP drawings and specifications
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and CAD applications

This role involves calculating work volume and material requirements for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects based on technical drawings and Bill of Quantity (BOQ). The position requires accurate preparation of Budget Plans (RAB), BOQ, and unit price analysis, as well as cost estimation for materials, labour, and equipment for tender or project needs.

Key responsibilities

Calculate volume of work and material requirements for MEP projects based on technical drawings and Bill of Quantity (BOQ)

Prepare Budget Plans (RAB), BOQ, and unit price analysis accurately

Conduct cost estimation for materials, labour, and equipment for tender or project requirements

Perform price comparison and evaluate offers from vendors or suppliers

Prepare cost estimation reports and budget progress reports periodically for management

About you

Minimum S1/D3 education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Minimum 2-3 years experience as MEP Estimator in construction or building maintenance

Strong understanding of reading MEP technical drawings and specifications

Proficient in Ms. Office (especially advanced Excel) and CAD applications (AutoCAD)

Good negotiation and coordination skills with internal teams and vendors

High integrity, meticulous, diligent, hardworking, and agile

Good behaviour and attitude

Able to work under pressure with deadline targets

Able to work both in teams and individually
