Job summary

PT Mad Monkey Hostels Indonesia is seeking an Engineering Staff / Maintenance Technician to maintain the property’s facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This hands-on role requires technical skills and responsiveness in a dynamic hospitality setting.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot systems, coordinate with contractors, and assist in preventive maintenance and event setups.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, maintenance, or a similar technical role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues independently.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
• Troubleshoot and fix equipment or system malfunctions efficiently
• Ensure proper operation of water systems, generators, air conditioning, and lighting
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory
• Coordinate with external contractors when necessary
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local regulations
• Assist in preventive maintenance planning and execution
• Support setup for events or operational needs when required

Job Summary

The Engineering Staff is responsible for maintaining the property’s facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
