Job summary

PT Mad Monkey Hostels Indonesia Uluwatu is seeking a Housekeeping Staff to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, dormitories, and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment in line with Mad Monkey’s standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and supporting busy periods to prepare rooms for guest check-in. Basic English is advantageous; prior hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in hotels, hostels, or hospitality is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic English communication is an advantage.

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, dormitories, and bathrooms according to hostel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities as required.
• Clean and sanitize common areas such as hallways, lounges, reception areas, and shared bathrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas daily.
• Dispose of trash and maintain proper waste management procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues to the maintenance team or supervisor.
• Ensure housekeeping storage areas are organized and cleaning supplies are properly maintained.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other room amenities when needed.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks and special cleaning projects when required.
• Support the team during busy periods to ensure all rooms are ready for guest check-in.

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of guest rooms, dormitories, and public areas at Mad Monkey Hostels Uluwatu. This role ensures that guests experience a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment in line with Mad Monkey’s hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, dormitories, and bathrooms according to hostel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities as required.
• Clean and sanitize common areas such as hallways, lounges, reception areas, and shared bathrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas daily.
• Dispose of trash and maintain proper waste management procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues (broken items, leaks, electrical issues, etc.) to the maintenance team or supervisor.
• Ensure housekeeping storage areas are organized and cleaning supplies are properly maintained.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other room amenities when needed.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks and special cleaning projects when required.
