Job summary

Filtrona is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the secondary tobacco manufacturing engineering across cigarette making, filter attachment, packing and related processes, ensuring high reliability and optimized throughput.

You will drive automation upgrades, CAPEX projects, maintenance strategies, and TPM/Lean initiatives while mentoring engineers and technicians in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics engineering.
• 10–15 years in tobacco manufacturing engineering, with leadership experience.
• Strong technical troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems.
• Experience with TPM, Lean, and reliability engineering.
• Able to communicate in English at an international level.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering support for secondary tobacco manufacturing operations and packing.
• Ensure high machine efficiency, low downtime, and optimal production performance.
• Provide root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting for breakdowns.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for all equipment.
• Lead CAPEX and engineering improvement projects and manage inventories.
