Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of electrical systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear).
• Review electrical design documents and shop drawings for compliance.
• Coordinate with client, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Ensure QA/QC, safety protocols, and site inspections throughout installation and commissioning.
• Monitor budgets, change orders, and prepare handover documentation.

The Electrical Project Manager will act as the client's representative in overseeing all electrical works within a data center project. This role ensures that design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems meet project requirements, industry standards, and client objectives. The position requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while safeguarding safety, quality, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Oversight & Delivery

Manage end-to-end delivery of electrical systems (MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, busways, transformers, lighting, grounding, fire alarm integration).

Ensure alignment of electrical works with overall project milestones, budget, and client objectives.

Monitor contractor performance and enforce compliance with contractual obligations.

2. Design & Technical Review

Review and approve electrical design documents, shop drawings, and technical submittals.

Verify compliance with local codes, international standards (NFPA, IEEE, IEC), and client specifications.

Provide technical guidance to consultants and contractors during design development and execution.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

Act as the primary liaison between client, consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors.

Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and ensure smooth execution.

Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to senior management and stakeholders.

4. Quality Assurance & Safety

Oversee QA/QC processes for electrical installations, testing, and commissioning.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including hazardous energy control and lockout/tagout procedures.

Conduct site inspections and audits to verify workmanship and compliance.

Track electrical scope budgets, change orders, and cost forecasts.

Identify risks related to electrical systems and propose mitigation strategies.

Support procurement by evaluating vendor proposals and ensuring timely delivery of critical equipment.

Supervise integrated testing of electrical systems, including redundancy and failover scenarios.

Ensure proper documentation: test reports, O&M manuals, as-built drawings.

Validate readiness for handover and support transition to operations team.
