Job summary

Bitera DC seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design and delivery for our data center construction and expansion projects. You will lead power distribution, MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transformers, and switchgear, ensuring robust electrical infrastructure from design through handover.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs and submittals, coordinating with consultants and vendors, and guiding testing, commissioning, and handover activities to meet schedule and safety

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities for data center construction and expansion projects, including power distribution, MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, and electrical infrastructure.
• Review electrical designs, shop drawings, technical submittals, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Monitor construction quality, resolve electrical technical issues, and ensure project delivery meets schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
• Witness and validate testing and commissioning activities, ensuring all electrical systems perform as designed before handover.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all electrical systems after project completion, providing technical guidance and support to Facility Operations.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices to support long-term reliability and maintainability.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, power reliability, energy efficiency, operational resilience, and lifecycle cost of electrical infrastructure.
