Job summary

OTTO Digital Pty is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate data center construction and operations projects. The role covers planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure delivery against baselines.

You will monitor progress, address delays, and drive corrective actions while managing cross-functional teams across Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, Fire Protection, Civil/Structural, and Architectural disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in project management, construction, engineering, or data center ops.
• 3+ years as a Project Manager or Assistant PM.
• Proven experience on medium to large-scale data center / mission-critical projects.
• Experience in live/operational data center environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage overall project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate corrective, recovery, or acceleration actions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, Fire Protection, Civil/Structural, and Architectural disciplines.
• Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee site quality, HSE compliance, inspections, and regulatory adherence.
• Manage project risks and cross-functional issues; escalate as needed.
• Lead project progress reporting, testing, commissioning coordination, and handover.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Control Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Min. 7 years of professional experience in project management, construction, engineering, or data center operations.
• Min. 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager.
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale data center / mission-critical projects through all project phases.
• Experience working in live/operational data center environments is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Data Center Project Management & Engineering/Construction standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project / Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Visio, MS Office (familiarity with ETAP is a plus).
