Job summary

PT Tri Mentari Niaga(Bintang Racing Team) seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop low-level hardware for electric vehicles and engines, including control modules, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.

You will collaborate with electrical, firmware, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness, while creating detailed specifications and performing thorough testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles including MCUs, microprocessors, power electronics, and sensor interfaces.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence Allegro).
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, PSpice).
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with scopes, logic analyzers, multimeters.
  • Experience in hardware testing and validation in a lab environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop low-level electronic hardware for EVs and ICE systems (control modules, sensors, actuators, interfaces).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware into vehicle/engine designs.
  • Create hardware specifications including selection, schematic, and PCB layout.
  • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and testing to validate designs.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers for components and production readiness.
  • Define hardware/firmware interfaces with firmware engineers.

Job description

1. Design and develop low-level electronic hardware devices for electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) systems, including control modules, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, firmware engineers, mechanical engineers, and system integrators, to ensure seamless integration of hardware components into the overall vehicle or engine design.

3. Conduct research and stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and standards relevant to low-level electronic hardware device development for EVs and ICEs.

4. Create detailed hardware specifications, including component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout, while considering factors such as cost, reliability, and manufacturability.

5. Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and testing to validate and optimize the performance of the electronic hardware design.

6. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to select appropriate components, review prototypes, and ensure smooth production and assembly processes.

7. Collaborate with firmware engineers to define and implement hardware/firmware interfaces and communication protocols for seamless system operation.

8. Support the product development lifecycle, from concept to production, by actively participating in design reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.

9. Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to the evaluation of new electronic hardware technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the development process.

10. Document design decisions, specifications, test procedures, and other relevant technical information to facilitate future reference and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

2. Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles, including familiarity with microcontrollers, microprocessors, power electronics, and sensor interfaces.

3. Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools, such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar software.

4. Experience with circuit simulation tools, such as LTSpice or PSpice, to analyze and validate hardware designs.

5. Familiarity with communication protocols commonly used in automotive systems, such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.

6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex hardware-related issues using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

7. Proficiency in using engineering lab equipment and experience with hardware testing and validation.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex technical information in a clear manner.
