Job summary

OSI Electronics, a provider of manufacturing solutions, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our team in Batam. The role involves working on component engineering, BOM management, life-cycle and obsolescence issues, and ensuring regulatory compliance (RoHS/REACH/IMDS, PFOS, TSCA).

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor in Engineering, at least 2 years of related experience, and strong Excel/Access/database skills plus excellent communication and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Basic Technical Qualifications & Skills

• Up to 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering, Component Engineering, Product Engineering, R&D, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related fields.
• Good knowledge of passive and active electronic components and basic electronics principles.
• Ability to read and understand component datasheets, electrical parameters.
• Understanding of electronic circuits and component functionality.
• Understanding of component lifecycle management, obsolescence, and change management concepts is preferred.

Core Requirements

• Good Knowledge and working experience in all types of Component attributes / selection.
• Should possess good knowledge in knowing electronic components, behaviour and functionalities.
• BoM Scrub, FFF Alternates suggestion, Life-cycle and Obsolescence Management.
• Identify Product Life-cycle, Obsolete, EOL, Compliance, Supply-Chain issues and suggest crosses.
• Working knowledge in RoHS/REACh/Conflict Mineral & other Chemical compliance Regulations (IMDS, PFOS, TSCA, DecaBDE etc).
• Strong working experience in recommending Electrical, Electronics and Electro-Mechanical alternates for all threats.
• Review, understand and process PCN/ECNs internally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with engineering databases and PLM systems is advantageous.
