About the role

Selong Selo Resort & Residences is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our management team. The Duty Manager will be the senior on‑site representative during their shifts, managing staff, responding to guest needs, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery across all resort facilities and services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all resort operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
• Manage and supervise front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house team members, providing leadership and support
• Address guest concerns and complaints promptly, resolving issues with professionalism and discretion
• Monitor guest satisfaction levels and implement improvements to enhance their experience
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety and maintenance standards
• Ensure compliance with resort policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
• Manage reservations, check‑ins, check‑outs and any special requests or arrangements
• Oversee food and beverage service quality and coordination with kitchen and dining staff
• Handle cash operations, billing and financial transactions accurately
• Prepare detailed shift reports and communicate relevant information to management
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate appropriate support services
• Maintain security and safety protocols throughout the resort premises

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in hotel or resort management, with proven supervisory experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
• Excellent customer service expertise and a genuine passion for guest satisfaction
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Proven ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong problem‑solving skills and sound decision‑making abilities
• Knowledge of hospitality management systems and point‑of‑sale software
• Professional appearance and demeanour befitting a luxury resort environment
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Certification in hospitality management, first aid or customer service is preferred
• Experience in Indonesian resorts or tropical destination properties is highly valued

Sitting 100‑200 metres above sea level these modern style; open plan living villas with poolall uselocal sourced natural materials and are designed to maximise the breath‑taking and uninterrupted outlooks from every room and to ensure absolute privacy from other villas within the complex.

Selong Selo utilises cutting‑edge sustainability and energy‑efficient technology and has implemented integrated renewable energy and water micro‑grids, waste management strategies, and optimising efficiency within the infrastructure and villa designs to reduce the impact on the natural environment.
