Job summary

Terradyne Geomatics Indonesia is seeking a skilled Drone Pilot in Bogor to operate UAVs for surveying, mapping, and data collection in diverse field environments.

You will plan flight missions, perform pre-flight checks, ensure safety in line with local regulations, and assist with basic data processing and reporting as needed. You will coordinate with project teams to understand mission requirements, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, and contribute to training sessions.

Qualifications

• Strong drone piloting and UAV operation skills.
• Experience in training related to drone operations.
• Understanding of aviation or UAV regulations and airspace safety.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor field conditions and perform basic maintenance.
• Good communication and teamwork, able to coordinate with staff.
• Relevant UAV/drone operation certifications or licenses in Indonesia; geomatics/surveying/GIS experience is a plus.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Drone Pilot role based in Bogor. The Drone Pilot will operate drones and UAVs for surveying, mapping, inspection, and data collection tasks in various field environments. Responsibilities include planning flight missions, conducting pre-flight checks, ensuring safe operations in compliance with local regulations, and capturing high-quality geospatial data. The role involves coordinating with project teams to understand mission requirements, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and assisting with basic data processing or reporting as needed. The Drone Pilot may also support training activities for colleagues on safe and effective drone operation.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Drone Piloting and Piloting skills, with hands-on experience operating Drones and UAV systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Training related to drone operations, including sharing best practices and supporting team capability development.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of aviation or UAV regulations, airspace safety, and standard operating procedures for field missions.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work safely in outdoor and variable field conditions, including basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Candidates should possess good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and coordinate with technical and project staff.
• Candidates should possess relevant certifications or licenses for UAV/drone operation in Indonesia; experience in geomatics, surveying, or GIS is an advantage.
