Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent CAD software.
• Strong technical drawing skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of architectural drawing conventions, building codes and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with design and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings using CAD software and other drafting tools.
• Translate architect and engineer specifications into accurate technical drawings and blueprints.
• Review plans and ensure compliance with building codes and project requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to clarify design details and resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Incorporate feedback and design changes into drawings promptly.
• Ensure drawings are scaled, dimensioned and annotated per industry standards.

About the role

PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia is seeking a skilled Drafter to join our Design & Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in West Cikarang, West Java. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts and engineering designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. Your work will be fundamental to the successful execution of our construction projects, ensuring that all design intent is clearly communicated to project teams and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other drafting tools
• Translate architect and engineer specifications into accurate technical drawings and blueprints
• Review architectural plans and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and project requirements
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to clarify design details and resolve drawing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare drawing sets for construction documentation, tender packages and regulatory submissions
• Incorporate feedback and design changes into drawings in a timely manner
• Ensure all drawings are properly scaled, dimensioned and annotated according to industry standards
• Assist in the preparation of 3D models and visualisations as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent programmes
• Strong technical drawing skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Sound knowledge of architectural drawing conventions, building codes and construction practices
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with design and construction teams
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Indonesian building regulations and standards is advantageous
• Experience in construction or architectural drafting within the Indonesian market is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
