Job summary

Cermati is seeking a seasoned Collections Supervisor/Manager to lead unsecured product collections, optimize processes, and ensure productivity. You will recruit and train the collection team, monitor performance, and implement strategy effectiveness across the portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 5 years in collections with 1–2 years in a desk supervisor/manager role, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of reporting and optimizing collection performance.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in collections and 1-2 years as desk collection supervisor/manager.
• Strong understanding of collections activities and processes.
• Demonstrated supervisory/managerial ability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
• Adequate analytical skills and experience developing collection reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection activities of unsecured products and manage flow rates to prevent charge-offs.
• Recruit, train and manage the collection team to ensure productivity.
• Process-reengineer collection processes to improve productivity.
• Track capacity and plan resources to ensure adequate collections staffing.
• Manage and optimize collection costs.
• Prepare, document and monitor strategy effectiveness and custody of strategies.
• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of collection strategies and conduct tests.
• Prepare regular in-depth reports summarizing unit activities for management.

Job description

• Coordinate collection activities of unsecured products, manage flow rates to prevent accounts from flowing down to charge off and minimize net credit losses
• Recruitment, training and performance management of the collection team to ensure good productivity
• Process-reengineering of collection processes to improve productivity
• Capacity tracking, management and planning to ensure adequate collection resources for the section all the time
• Manage and optimize collection cost
• Prepare, document and monitor strategy effectiveness and custody of the collection strategy/procedure
• Tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of all collection strategies. Design and conduct champion & challenger tests of all collection strategies
• Prepares regular and customized, in-depth reports and information summarizing various aspects of unit(s) activities. Interprets important aspects of reports for management.

Qualifications

• 5 years of working experience in Collection and 1-2 years of working experience as Desk Collection Supervisor/Manager
• Strong understanding of collections activities and process.
• Sound people supervisory/managerial skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Communication skills, both verbal and written.
