Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or related field.

• Experience in multinational environment preferred.

As a Data Governance Manager, you will lead the implementation of Nestlé Indonesia’s data governance strategy across functions and businesses. You will help teams use reliable, well-managed data to improve decision-making, efficiency, compliance, and business performance.
You will work closely with business and functional leaders to understand their data challenges, prioritize the most important opportunities, and build a practical roadmap. You will also promote the use of global data tools and services while ensuring that local solutions follow Group and Zone guidelines.

A Day in the Life of a Data Governance Manager

• Build stakeholder support for data governance: Partner with leaders across functions and businesses, explain the value of data governance, and secure sponsorship for the local strategy and roadmap.
• Turn business needs into a clear roadmap: Identify data-related challenges and opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and coordinate the people and resources needed to deliver measurable improvements.
• Establish the local data governance operating model: Define clear roles, responsibilities, ownership, and required capabilities. Identify gaps and support the onboarding or development of subject-matter experts and data owners.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and control: Help strengthen policies, workflows, standards, and controls covering data quality, security, compliance, privacy, retention, ethics, discoverability, and lineage.
• Drive adoption of enterprise data solutions: Encourage teams to use approved data domains, tools, and services as the first choice for Analytics and AI use cases, while reducing unnecessary duplication in local platforms.
• Monitor performance and lead continuous improvement: Track relevant KPIs, address gaps in data maturity, coverage, and quality, and identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and data literacy.
• Support governance forums and issue resolution: Participate in data governance working groups, support decision-making, and establish clear communication and escalation channels for resolving data issues.

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or a related area. Experience in a multinational organization is preferred.
• A good understanding of how data supports major end-to-end business processes, such as Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report, Hire to Retire, Idea to Launch, and Plan to Execute.
• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to work effectively across different functions and business teams.
• Clear communication skills in English, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to lead change.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and practices, data quality management, and data literacy programs.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team, managing cross-functional projects, and working with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or a similar industry is an advantage.
