Job summary

Shopee is seeking a data analytics professional to partner with business units, turning complex datasets into clear insights and actionable strategies. You will lead data-driven discussions, simplify analytics terminology for cross-functional teams, and deliver automated dashboards to monitor key metrics across project lifecycles.

The role requires strong SQL, BI dashboard creation experience (Tableau/Power BI/Looker), and good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia for stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• require a degree in a quantitative field (CS, Math, Stats, Eng, Finance, etc.)
• prior experience in data analytics, BI, consulting, or quantitative project mgmt is preferred
• strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
• hands-on experience building dashboards on BI platforms (Tableau/Power BI/Looker)
• proficiency in Python or R is a plus

• Define and establish data-driven frameworks as a dedicated discussion partner for various business units to plan, strategise, and drive business growth within the project period.
• Shape complex datasets into clear, actionable insights, acting as an internal consultant who simplifies analytical terminologies for diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analyse, clean, and evaluate large, complex datasets to support data-driven decision-making across key corporate initiatives.
• Design, implement, and deploy automated dashboards to continuously monitor and report on key performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct precise ad-hoc analyses and evaluate critical metrics to support strategic decision-making and deliver impactful outcomes for special projects.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or other quantitative fields.
• Possess prior professional experience or strong foundational expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, management consulting, or quantitative project management.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in querying languages, specifically utilising SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in building and managing dashboards on BI platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
• Proficiency in advanced analytics using Python or R will be an advantage.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage, coordinate, and drive projects across multiple cross-functional stakeholders and functions.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into structured, actionable business strategies.
• Ability to manage and execute multiple deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English and Bahasa Indonesia to align with internal stakeholders.
• Proactive self-starter with a solution-oriented attitude toward complex operational challenges.
