Job summary

Mercure Serpong Alam Sutera is hiring a Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. You will perform preventive maintenance, address guest requests, and support senior engineers to ensure smooth operations across guest rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

• High school or technical/vocational education in engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Experience in hotel or facility maintenance is advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance and repair works in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
• Respond promptly to guests’ maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
• Assist in routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and hotel facilities.
• Support senior technicians/engineers in major repair projects.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the engineering workshop and work areas.
• Follow hotel safety and security policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Assist in energy-saving initiatives and proper usage of utilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Supervisor.
