Role Overview
In partnership with LMKN, the Content, Marketing & Local Partnerships Executive will champion USEA’s Indonesian expansion, connecting with local artists, music labels, content owners, and creative industry partners.
This role is broader than pure music curation and focuses on active partnership and supply development. You will act as a key relationship manager and executive - reaching out to local musicians, securing music supply contracts, bringing in artists to build our local music catalog, and curating localized playlists and content for commercial spaces. The ideal candidate combines PR and outreach skills with a genuine pulse on Indonesia's music community.
Key Responsibilities
- Artist Outreach & Music Sourcing: Build and maintain direct relationships with Indonesian musicians, indie artists, record labels, and content owners to bring in music supplies for USEA's platform.
- Contracts & Partner Onboarding: Coordinate partner discussions, submissions, legal documentation, and onboard music and content partners with signed agreements.
- Playlist Formulation & Content Curation: Formulate, curate, and maintain specialized playlists and content across diverse genres, moods, and commercial environments.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary relationship manager for artists, music communities, and creator networks to foster long-term collaborations.
- Database Management: Maintain a structured database of artists, content partners, submitted tracks, and signed agreements.
- Internal Coordination: Coordinate internally with USEA's regional Content, Product, and Operations teams regarding content intake and platform requirements.
- PR, Events & Scene Engagement: Support PR and communication activities, attend music showcases/events, and maintain strong ties with local music tastemakers, creators, and industry organizations to ensure USEA stays in touch and in sync with local trends.
- Marketing & Market Insights: Support local marketing campaigns, gather market feedback from Indonesia's music ecosystem, and ensure local messaging aligns with USEA's regional brand direction.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Music Business, Media, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Approximately 2–5 years of experience in music partnerships, artist relations, content acquisition, music curation, or entertainment PR.
- Music Community Grip: A true insider with deep passion and an active grip on Indonesia's music scene, events, indie bands, and creator communities.
- PR & Outreach Skills: Proven ability to reach out directly, pitch, build rapport, and negotiate contracts/supply agreements with musicians and copyright holders.
- Curation Ear: Demonstrated ability to curate cohesive playlists and formulate content suited for commercial and public settings.
- Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (for regular alignment with regional HQ).
- Organized & Disciplined: Strong organizational, tracking, and follow-up discipline to manage multiple artist discussions and contract pipelines simultaneously.
- Existing Network: An existing network within Indonesia's music, entertainment, or indie creative community is a strong advantage.
