Job summary

CHANG LIAN INDONESIA is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a contract role in Batam Kota, Riau Islands. You will oversee construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, stakeholder liaising and adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities include planning, cost control, site management, documentation, risk mitigation and regular progress

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction.
• Proven track record delivering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills across priorities.
• Proficiency in PM software and tools; strong stakeholder communication.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs; leadership experience.
• Problem-solving under pressure and effective decision-making.
• Knowledge of Indonesian regulations is highly desirable.
• Professional PM certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate all construction activities from inception to completion.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenditures and enforce cost control.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations ensuring safety and compliance.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports and records.
• Identify risks, implement mitigations and resolve issues.
• Ensure quality assurance across all stages of the project.
• Track progress against timelines and take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead site teams and coordinate engineers and subcontractors.
• Communicate project status and changes to stakeholders.
