Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an experienced commercial professional to manage long-term service contracts and drive financial planning across the APAC region, including Malaysia and Indonesia. This role focuses on commercial terms, pricing, risk mitigation, and governance within a dynamic, international team.

You will report to the Head of Commercial Sales and collaborate with Legal, Insurance, Taxes, and other departments to secure favorable terms while safeguarding company interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
• Proven track record managing regional commercial portfolios, specifically Malaysia and Indonesia.
• 10+ years in commercial, legal, and contract negotiation; tendering, project management and reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of sales bids and contracts for Gas Services in APAC region.
• Develop pricing strategies and financial models to optimize profit margins while keeping market competitiveness.

Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for an experienced commercial professional to support closure of service contracts including long term service agreements, Framework Agreements, Modification and Upgrade Contracts and ad hoc service contracts, and be responsible for managing commercial and financial topics throughout the sales/ bid process for Gas Service Distributed business. You will interact with a very diverse and international team within the Asia Pacific region. You will be reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales. This role focuses on commercial contract management, costing and pricing, bidding, LoA, sales financial planning, and cross-functional risk mitigation. These core areas ensure robust financial control, optimized pricing strategies, and alignment between sales objectives and corporate financial guidelines. Given the focus on regional financial sales management, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial project management, financial planning, and contract negotiation. Experience within the energy sector and familiarity with regional compliance standards across Malaysia and Indonesia are highly preferred.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• 40% Commercial Bid & Contract Management
  • Lead the commercial preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of sales bids and contracts for Gas Services in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the wider APAC region.
  • Together with the Sales and Legal you will support the analysis of customer requirements, evaluation methods, and criteria to develop the winning strategy. Structure commercial terms, payment conditions, and guarantees that protect company interests.
  • Prepare and present the commercial part of internal approval process including Limits of Authority (LoA). Ensure the correctness of the relevant approvals in accordance with the actual negotiations.
  • Participate in negotiation of commercial T&Cs under the applicable guidelines in coordination with the relevant departments (e.g. Legal, Insurance, Taxes, etc.)
  • Your hands‑on attitude is required to successfully manage the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase+

  • Develop pricing strategies and financial models to optimize profit margins while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Support in oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting of sales opportunities, ensuring transparency in the regional sales pipeline.
• 20% Regional Governance & Risk Mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with regional financial regulations, internal control systems (ICS), and Siemens Energy guidelines across all commercial activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial risks, including foreign exchange, credit, and country‑specific regulatory risks.

What You Bring

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record of managing regional commercial portfolios, specifically covering Malaysia and Indonesia.
• 10 years+ experience in commercial, legal, and contract negotiation. Exposure to areas such as tendering, project management and reporting guideline principles will be highly regarded.
