The Role:

The Senior Design Firm Sales is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with M&E consultants, design firms, engineering consultants, and other key project stakeholders to drive technical specification and adoption of appropriate solutions across major projects in Indonesia. The position will focus primarily on Data Center projects while supporting Commercial & Industrial Buildings, Industrial & Manufacturing, Mining, Minerals & Metals (MMM), Water & Wastewater, and other strategic segments.

What will you do?

• Lead technical engagement and specification activities with design firms, M&E consultants, engineering consultants, and other project influencers throughout Indonesia.
• Act as a senior technical advisor for Data Center projects from concept design and design development through detailed engineering, tender, and project execution.
• Understand consultant and project requirements and translate them into suitable electrical distribution, power management, automation, digital, and related solution architectures.
• Drive early-stage specification influence so that appropriate technologies and solutions are considered during project design.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international design firms involved in Indonesian projects.
• Coordinate with design firms and engineering teams in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, and other countries supporting projects in Indonesia.
• Conduct technical presentations, design reviews, workshops, consultant meetings, and solution demonstrations in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Review project requirements, technical specifications, single-line diagrams, design documentation, and tender requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations and support value-engineering discussions with consultants and project stakeholders.
• Identify major upcoming projects and engage relevant consultants early to improve specification opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Segment, Prescription and Specification, Application Engineering, Product Marketing, Tendering, and Project teams.
• Maintain visibility of project specifications, design changes, consultant activities, and key technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support projects in Commercial & Industrial Buildings, Industrial & Manufacturing, MMM, Water & Wastewater, infrastructure, and other strategic segments as required.

What are the key skills we are looking for:

Technical Competencies

• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and the ability to understand complex electrical systems and project requirements.
• Good understanding of mission-critical and Data Center electrical infrastructure, including system architecture, reliability, availability, protection, power quality, energy management, and monitoring concepts.
• Ability to read and review electrical specifications, single-line diagrams, consultant drawings, and tender documents.
• Strong specification-development and consultant-influence capability.
• Ability to develop technically sound and commercially appropriate recommendations.
• Confidence in conducting technical discussions with senior consultants, engineering leaders, customers, and project stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

Communication and Stakeholder Skills

• Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia with strong professional communication skills.
• Ability to conduct technical presentations, workshops, negotiations, and engineering discussions in English.
• Comfortable working across cultures, countries, and time zones with regional design firms and engineering teams.
• Strong relationship building, influence, collaboration, and stakeholder-management capability.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and commercial audiences.

What qualifications will make you successful:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, M&E consultancy, design engineering, specification, application engineering, technical sales, or consultant engagement.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Data Center or other mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience working with design firms, M&E consultants, engineering consultants, contractors, developers, or major end users.
• Experience supporting projects across multiple locations in Indonesia and willingness to travel nationwide as required.
• Experience coordinating with regional or international engineering and design teams is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is preferred.
