Job summary

PT. SPM Surface Products in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, seeks a dedicated CNC Machining Manager to lead a machining team, overseeing CNC turning, milling, and multitask operations to meet quality and delivery targets.

You will manage the department budget, develop staff, drive continuous improvements, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and collaborate with the management team to optimize processes in a combined office and shop-floor environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering with 3+ years in a leadership role in machining.
• Experience in CNC turning, milling and multitask operations.
• English proficiency and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the machining department in line with specifications, meeting quality and delivery targets.
• Identify and deploy skills, resources and systems to deliver projects and engage external resources as needed.
• Lead a high performing machining team delivering best practice results and continuous improvements.
• Set department objectives/KPIs and review ongoing performance of direct reports.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, attendance, and daily supervision to maximize productivity.
• Monitor task completion and ensure good performance and proper recording in systems.
• Prepare the annual Machining budget and CAPEX proposals and manage the budget through to completion.
• Support continuous improvement activities and process improvements to optimize results.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
