Job summary

Onesubsea in Batam, Indonesia is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. You will create programs, set up sheets for milling, and support first-piece inspections and process validation.

The ideal candidate has a Polytechnic degree in mechanical engineering, 3+ years CNC programming experience, and is proficient with Mastercam or Edgecam. English communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Polytechnic degree in mechanical engineering.
• CNC programming experience with 3+ years.
• Preferred oil & gas sector experience.
• Proficient in Mastercam or Edgecam CAD/CAM.
• Strong G-code and M-code knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Hands-on CNC milling setup/operation.
• English reading and speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs and set up sheets for milling.

• Investigate machining problems and implement corrective actions.
• Advise on tooling, fixturing, and process improvements.
• Develop training for machinists on CNC programming, operation, tooling.

• Assist with machine setup verification, first-piece inspections, and process validation.
• Investigate machining problems and implement corrective actions.
• Recommend tooling, fixturing, and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Develop and deliver training programs for machinists related to CNC programming, machine operation, tooling, and manufacturing best practices.
• Promote continuous learning and technical development within the manufacturing team.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, reduce scrap, and increase throughput.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support quality and safety objectives by adhering to company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Polytechnique in mechanical engineering
• CNC programming experience min 3 years.
• Preferred experience at oil and gas company
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, Edgecam)
• Strong command of G-code and M-code programming
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and raw material properties
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
• Ability to read and speak English
