Job summary

PT Merauke Sugar Group seeks aSenior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design verification, oversee construction activities in Merauke, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires 6+ years in civil/structural projects, PE licensure, and proficiency in AutoCAD or SAP2000.

Candidates should have strong communication in English and Indonesian, with experience in industrial or agro-processing facilities and site supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with PE or equivalent licensure.
• Minimum 6 years of professional civil/structural experience, preferably in industrial/agri/manufacturing.
• Experience with construction site supervision and quality control.

• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and optimise project outcomes

Job description

Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and optimise project outcomes

Oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with approved designs, safety standards, and quality requirements

Review civil/structural drawings, specifications, and construction methods.

Conduct site inspections and resolve civil construction issues.

Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent licensure/certification in civil or structural engineering

Minimum 6 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably within industrial, agricultural, or manufacturing sectors

Strong proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools such as AutoCAD or SAP2000.

In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, building codes, and safety standards

Proven experience in project management, including budget control and timeline management

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal

Experience with construction site supervision and quality control procedures

Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards relevant to industrial projects

Familiarity with sugar production or agro-industrial facilities is highly desirable

Willingness to work in Merauke (non-roster)
