Job Role

The Senior E-Commerce Business Operations Manager will lead the operational and commercial execution of the company's e-commerce and BNPL-integrated business in Indonesia.

Reporting directly to Regional HQ, this role will serve as the key bridge between local operations and regional leadership, translating strategic directives into actionable business initiatives, operational improvements, and commercial growth plans.

The position will manage a team of 5–8 operational professionals and work closely with E-Commerce Operations, Business Development, Merchant Relationship Management, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams. The ideal candidate is a commercially minded and highly hands‑on leader with strong experience in e-commerce, BNPL, consumer credit, or digital financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day business operations for the e-commerce and BNPL‑integrated platform, ensuring strong operational performance and execution.
• Translate Regional HQ strategies and business objectives into localized operational roadmaps and commercial initiatives.
• Manage and develop a team of 5–8 operational professionals, setting priorities, performance expectations, and execution standards.
• Drive merchant acquisition, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem expansion to increase BNPL acceptance across relevant channels.
• Oversee merchant onboarding processes, platform campaigns, fee structures, transaction performance, and customer conversion initiatives.
• Monitor key e‑commerce and BNPL metrics, identify operational gaps, and implement initiatives to improve transaction volume, conversion, and platform efficiency.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration across Business Operations, Business Development, Merchant Relationship Management, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance.
• Represent the business unit in strategic stakeholder discussions and negotiations with key business partners when required.
• Coordinate with relevant government authorities, industry associations, and regulatory stakeholders on operational or compliance matters when necessary.
• Ensure merchant agreements, promotional activities, and business processes remain aligned with applicable Indonesian e‑commerce and fintech regulations.
• Identify operational risks and develop practical solutions for urgent or high‑priority business challenges.
• Prepare business performance updates, operational analysis, and strategic recommendations for Regional HQ leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational efficiency, merchant experience, and overall business performance.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in E‑Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Business Operations, preferably within multifinance, consumer finance, or financial services.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in e‑commerce, BNPL, consumer credit, digital financial services, or related digital business environments.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial or senior managerial experience leading business operations, business development, merchant ecosystems, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of e‑commerce operations, BNPL payment flows, merchant ecosystems, consumer credit, and digital financial services.
• Proven experience managing cross‑functional stakeholders and leading teams of approximately 5–8 employees.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into operational execution and measurable commercial results.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working directly with regional or international HQ stakeholders in a fast‑paced and highly accountable environment.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese proficiency, both written and spoken, is mandatory for direct communication and reporting to Regional HQ.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia proficiency, both written and spoken, is mandatory for local team leadership, merchant negotiations, and external stakeholder communication.
• Business‑level English proficiency is strongly preferred for regional collaboration.
• Assertive, resourceful, adaptable, and highly execution‑oriented with strong ownership of business outcomes.
