Job summary

Hilton Jakarta Bintaro Jaya seeks a Chief Engineer to manage all hotel engineering systems and assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and guest comfort. You will direct maintenance, capital projects, and regulatory compliance while leading a high-performing team across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life-safety domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in hotel/building services or related field.
• 5+ years as Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel.
• Strong engineering background with trade expertise in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing/gas fitting.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule; available 24/7 for emergencies.
• Specialized knowledge in HVAC, water treatment, hydraulics, chillers, electronics, lighting, elevators, fire safety.
• Familiar with government regulations and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct facility operations: safety, compliance, and systems performance.
• Oversee maintenance: inspections, construction, installation, and repairs of systems.
• Support capital projects: budgeting, scheduling, bidding, licensing and permitting.
• Oversee work orders and ensure documentation in CMMS.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with authorities and safety codes.
• Lead a high-performing team through development and recognition programs.
• Foster communication between Engineering and all hotel areas.
• Maintain guest privacy and comfort in service delivery.
• Drive sustainability and asset efficiency via building automation.
