Job summary

Hilton Jakarta Bintaro Jaya is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the full engineering operations of the hotel's systems, plant, and equipment. You will manage budgets, safety, and the performance of the engineering team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will oversee mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, life safety, and building services while ensuring regulatory compliance and asset efficiency. A strong leadership background in a 5-star hotel is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant certification.
• 10+ years in hotel/building services or related field, 5+ years as Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel.
• Strong engineering background with trade expertise, trade-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitting.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule; available 24/7 for emergencies.
• Specialized knowledge in HVAC, water treatment, hydraulics, chillers, electronics, lighting, elevators, fire safety, and related systems.
• Skilled in maintaining all hotel building services (e.g., security, A/C, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, laundry, lifts, TV/sound systems).
• Familiar with government regulations and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations: direct functionality, safety, and compliance of buildings and systems.
• Oversee facility maintenance: supervise inspections, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems.
• Support property improvement projects: direct capital projects, budgeting, bidding, and permitting.
• Oversee work order fulfillment: ensure routine maintenance and repairs are tracked in the CMMS.
• Ensure regulatory compliance: coordinate with government officials for permits and inspections.
• Cultivate a high-performing team: drive engagement, development, and recognition.
• Foster effective communication between Engineering and all hotel areas.
• Maintain high guest service focus with privacy and comfort in mind.
• Drive sustainability and asset efficiency via building management and energy projects.
