The role requires an engineering degree, 10+ years in hotel/building services, and at least 5 years in a senior engineering position at a 5-star hotel. Availability for emergencies is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant certification.
• 10+ years in hotel/building services or related field.
• 5+ years as Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel.
• Trade expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitting.
• Available 24/7 for emergencies.
• Specialized knowledge in HVAC, water treatment, hydraulics, chillers, electronics, lighting, elevators, fire safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations: Ensure safety, compliance of buildings and systems.
• Oversee facility maintenance: Inspect, supervise electrical, mechanical, and architectural work.
• Support property improvement projects: Budgeting, scheduling, bidding, permitting.
• Oversee work order fulfillment: Ensure maintenance work is recorded in the system.
• Ensure regulatory compliance: Coordinate permits and inspections.
• Cultivate a high-performing team: Performance management and development.
• Communicate with hotel areas for smooth operations.
• Maintain guest privacy and comfort.
