Job summary

Hilton Jakarta Bintaro Jaya is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all hotel engineering systems, plant, and equipment. You ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operation of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life-safety facilities across the property.

You will lead a high-performing engineering team, coordinate capital projects and refurbishments, manage work orders and permits, and partner with government inspectors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant certification.
• 10+ years in hotel/building services or related field, 5+ years as Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel.
• Trade expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitting.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, 24/7 emergencies.
• Knowledge of HVAC, water treatment, hydraulics, chillers, electronics, lighting, and fire safety.
• Experience maintaining hotel building services (security, A/C, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, laundry, lifts).

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations: safety, compliance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, life safety, and grounds.
• Oversee facility maintenance: inspections and repairs of systems.
• Support capital projects: budgeting, bidding, licensing and permitting.
• Manage work orders: ensure maintenance tasks are done and documented.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with permits and inspections.
• Develop a high-performing team through performance management and development.
• Foster communication between Engineering and all hotel areas.
• Maintain high customer service and guest privacy.
