You will lead maintenance programs, manage third‑party contractors, ensure permits and inspections, and coach a high‑performing team to sustain reliable operations and cost discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in commercial real estate or building engineering management.
• Experience with multinational corporate accounts is a plus.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Engineering to lead the technical and engineering operations for a high-profile institutional facility in Jakarta. You will act as the single point of contact for the client, overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Civil Architecture (SA) operations while driving energy efficiency, safety, and strict compliance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical & Facility Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for all technical and engineering management services, coordinating MEP, civil architecture, and landscape teams to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Maintenance & Vendor Oversight: Manage third‑party MEP and SA contractors, conduct monthly performance evaluations, and oversee rigorous preventive and reactive maintenance programs for client‑owned assets.
• Compliance & Permits: Ensure full compliance with EHS guidelines and local building regulations, while actively coordinating licenses, periodic statutory inspections, and operating permit renewals with agencies like the Fire Department.
• Emergency & Security Coordination: Respond immediately to building operational disruptions and work closely with client security units to manage emergency crisis situations (such as fire, flood, or earthquake protocols).
• Sustainability & Optimization: Drive critical client initiatives regarding energy management, utility usage tracking, and cost‑saving benchmarks, providing periodic strategic and operational recommendations.
• Financial & Data Management: Assist with property budget forecasting, maintain accurate online maintenance/incident logs, and update technical building blueprints and MEP drawings bi‑annually.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Teknik Mesin/Elektro).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial real estate or building engineering management experience, ideally with exposure to multinational corporate organizations or high‑profile accounts.
• Skills:
  • Proven capability in managing business contracts, budget planning, and analyzing operational/financial trends.
  • In‑depth knowledge of local EHS standards, building code compliances, and utility asset management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to build rapid rapport under high‑pressure scenarios.
