Job summary

Adecco (Portugal) seeks an experienced Head of Cybersecurity to lead and strengthen the cybersecurity function of a rapidly growing digital banking organization. The role develops and executes the bank's cybersecurity strategy, protects critical infrastructure and digital products, and manages cyber risk.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership while maintaining hands-on expertise across SOC, Cloud, IAM, DevSecOps, and Incident Response, with a focus on regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (CS/IT/Cybersecurity) required.
• Minimum 10–15+ years in cybersecurity with substantial leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading cybersecurity in banking, fintech or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and security architecture.
• Oversee SOC and security monitoring, incident response, and threat hunting.
• Lead security across SDLC, API security, DevSecOps, and security by design.
• Strengthen cloud, network, and infrastructure security and governance.
• Drive IAM, PAM, least-privilege, and Zero Trust implementations.
• Establish risk management framework and metrics with exec-level reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and related standards.
• Coordinate with regulators, auditors and security partners.
