Job summary

Princess Cruises is seeking a Chef De Partie Baker for the Galley department aboard flagship ships. The role requires formal pastry/bakery qualifications and extensive experience, including leadership of a bakery section on high-volume production lines.

Strong English and guest-service orientation are essential. The position involves supervising night-shift bakery operations, ensuring recipe adherence, and maintaining quality across Danish pastries, muffins and bread items, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Pastry/Bakery from a recognised training institution.
• Minimum 5 years of bakery experience with at least 2 years as CDP Baker in high-volume production; cruise ship experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international bakery recipes and preparation (Danish pastries, muffins, bread).
• Good English language skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of guest service fundamentals; able to deliver outstanding service to guests.
• Personable communicator with supervision skills and a friendly personality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bakery product delivery for night shift, ensuring recipe adherence and presentation standards.
• Ensure quality through tasting and mise-en-place checks as instructed by Executive Chef / Chief Baker.
• Follow company recipes for Danish pastries, muffins and bread and maintain recipe files.
• Oversee breakfast production during night shift and support staff during operations.
• Lead daily briefings with Chief Baker to review performance and upcoming production.
