Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks a Pastry Cook to oversee daily pastry shop operations onboard, ensuring the production, quality and presentation of desserts in the daily menus. You will assist with forecasts, manage leftovers to avoid waste, and help set up pastry displays across buffets.

Maintain strict USPH compliance, ensure cleanliness, and support the Executive Chef with daily pastry recaps. Strong English communication and shipboard experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Pastry Cook in a cruise line, hotel, resort, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, requirements and equipment usage.
• Completion of high school or equivalent education.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pastry shop operations and daily production according to policy.
• Ensure production, quality and presentation of pastries for daily menus.
• Assist in forecast preparation and waste tracking to control costs.
• Assist in pastry display setup across buffets.
• Ensure compliance with USPH rules and regulations daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of pastry shop per schedule to minimize equipment damage.
• Prepare pastry galley for USPH inspections.
• Coordinate requisition and transportation from stores to pastry shop as needed.
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards.
• Assist in daily pastry consumption recap as requested by Executive Chef.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
